Am 17. Februar 2006 verstarb John Leather im Kreis seiner Familie in seinem Heim in Fingringhoe. Neben der Autorenschaft einiger der fundier-testen Bücher über das Thema, war John Leather als renommierter Yacht-Historiker, mit dem Schwerpunkt Ostküste, über die Grenzen anerkannt. Als beratender Editor von Classic Boat, war John Leather ein Stützpfeiler des Magazins und von Beginn an einer seiner regelmäßigsten Autoren. |
